- After Marcel's death, in the time of the German occupation she organized her own quintet, the Quintette Chailley-Richez. This was an all-female group: Marie-Thérèse Ibos (v1), Sonia Lovis then Suzanne Plazonich (v2), her daughter Marie-Thérèse Chailley-Guiard (va), Jacqueline Alliaume then Annik Gélu (vc).
