Miscellaneous information
- Often confused with the composer Jaroslav Kvapil (1892-1958), Kvapil was a journalist, playwright, politician and writer who only wrote a few libretti. One of these was for Dvorak's Rusalka which has resulted in much mis-attribution. His birth name was Josef but he seems to have adapted 'Jaroslav' by the 1890s. He also employed several pseudonyms.
