- Detailed biography: Composer's Website. Anthony St. Pierre (b. Schenectady NY, 1956) earned a B.Mus. cum laude in composition from The Ohio State University and a M.Mus. in historical performance practices from Washington University. He played the oboe with the Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra (Toronto) in the 1980s, but has since focused on composition. He has composed extensively for solo recorder and for his recorder ensemble. Art song, choral, and keyboard music have also been a significant pursuits. In 2007, Choirs Ontario awarded him a citation for his setting of Psalm 23. In addition, he has composed variations on La Folìa for a wide variety of ensembles and solo instruments. To date he has composed over three dozen sets. He contributed several unscored electro-acoustic creations that were presented around the world by the 60 X 60 project.
