Extra Information Only the 1st Book (Pièces Choisies... Livre Premier) was posthumously engraved and published in 1740 according to the BNF notice. It can be accessed on F-Pn. However, Gilles Cantagrel and Harry Halbreich, in their book Le Livre d'Or de l'Orgue Français (Paris, Calliope-Marval, 1976), assert (p. 58) that the only daughter of Marchand had the Livre Premier published the same year of his death, 1732, which is quite believable because she could then take advantage of the celebrity of her father and get some money from the sales. So, 1740 seems unlikely. No second book is known to have ever been published.
