Misc. Notes	From the uploader's library. According to the A3 Title page, this edition is for small hands that cannot span the octave. The volume begins with the second Etude in the other editions. The publisher who boasts an ample collection of Studies for the Piano, also includes on the Back Page bottom an advertisement for lead weighted open rings designed to strengthen weak fingers. The notice states that each ring carries a signet which can contain 25 to 40 grammes of lead. The rings are custom-made for each finger except the thumb. Such a device, claims the publisher, will help obtain, with regular practice, an incomparable suppleness and agility.
