These Gavottes are, or are arrangements of, opus 13(p) and opus 74(p), possibly arranged for string orchestra and possibly posthumously published? (The (p) system is a second set of opus numbers for Neglia's works - for example his piano quartet is opus 26 but is also opus 38 "p". The meaning of this is as yet unclear to me- what little I know of it is from Worldcat, though there may be an explanation of it on the francescopaoloneglia.it website. (Schissel))
Edit: that site is down but his descendant J. Neglia has a list of works for FP Neglia here.
Op.13, whatever its form (suite?) and instrumentation, may have been published in the 1910s like op.14 (composed in 1900 (and published in or by 1912, the latter - Monatsbericht (1913), p.3- that, at least, one could probably upload.)).
- The engraving looks more like something done in the 20s or 30s, but it can be hard to tell with Italian production from smaller firms. Publishing was not very active only 3 years after the end of the war, so I think a pre-war date seems more likely. Carolus 04:02, 3 November 2010 (UTC)
- DKB says 1948? See forum? Eric 00:35, 14 August 2017 (CEST)
Problem 2: Arranger's name found: Renzo Bossi, died 1965. ... erm, ow. PD-US-only if at all. - only until 2015.
The regular "Op.13" is Der Mensch ist ein Lüftchen, a song composed in 1901.
