From the uploader's library. One notes the mention on the Title Page : "Ballade (Concertstück) for the Violin with Orchestra... arranged for Violin & Pianoforte by the Composer", which does not appear to correspond to Bojan Assenov's assessment below. If this surmise is correct, then this version should be classified as an arrangement, and the orchestral "arrangement" come in its place. Additionally, there appears to be a discrepancy in the Augener plate and edition numbers compared with the Bolero. Worldcat ascribes 7528a as the edition number for the Ballade, a fact which is not borne out in print.

According to Bojan Assenov, Moritz Moszkowski – eine Werkmonographie the original version is for violin and piano and only number 1 was arranged for violin and orchestra.
