This cycle is suit for educational purposes- senior grades of music schools to the junior years of music Colleges. With its melodic and especially rhythmic structure the main theme of the cycle represents a stylistic imitation of Armenian folk song/dance. The theme variates three times, changing its character, and exposed new images every time, creating an impression that the same dance is performed by three different couples in three different ways: playful, rhythmic/active and lyrical/romantic. The piano part stands out with diverse rhythmic structure and technique, including changeable meter (typical to Armenian folk music), rhythmic variations, registeral contrast (left hand cross-flights), as well as use of additional performance elements (hand and foot claps).
