Extra Information | Included in the category Easy Works for Violin. The violin part of Nos.2-6 can be played entirely in first position, and that of No.3 in 1st to 3rd. |
The violin part by and large is accompanying, and where the piano RH is in 3rds, the violin doubles the lower note.
Heim's Violin Repertoire Guide explains: Sie sind sehr gut, haben aber unstreitig für den Klavierspieler mehr Wert als für den Geiger. (They are very good, but unquestionably they have more value for the pianist than the violinist.) It puts Op.46 Nos.2-6 in level 1 grade 4 (1st pos) and No.1 in level 2 grade 7 (1st to 3rd pos).
