Unclear handwritten (mimeographed ?) score on stiff paper, sized 17x26 cm. The name L. Fromont appears on the top right, with an imprecise date (28 May 192? and a vocal identity on the top left. Actually, it is a French version of L. van Beethoven's Mailied, n°4 of his 8 Lieder op.52, 1805. A song sung by the uploader's father Louis BESSET (11 Feb. 1911 - 11 March 1994) then aged eleven and a member of the choir in 1922 and who remembered in his last days the performance all his life : "En 6ème au Lycée de Rodez, premier contact avec la chorale de Léon Froment. Chanté à l'école de musique de Rodez sous la baguette du maître Léon Fromont : émerveillement (coup de cœur) chez l'enfant que j'étais alors. The strength it gave to my [day] lasted me the rest of my life". Erroneously attributed to Léon Froment at first, but by me, the uploader. My father, Louis Besset, was well aware the piece was composed by Beethoven, and not by his choir leader, who obviously must have made it clear to his students at the time.
