This is the 3rd iteration of a Field Nocturnes collection from Schuberth. No.9 (plate 3754) is the new addition in this iteration, with Nos.1-8 republished (with the same plates) from earlier collections: Nos.1-6 from 6 Nocturnes (pub. 1850), Nos.7-8 from 8 Nocturnes. The preface from Liszt was originally published in 6 Nocturnes and was republished in the later, extended collections. Specifically for 9 Nocturnes, Schuberth published other arrangements around the same time, including Liszt's piano 4-hands arrangement.
