Extra Information In the cycle “The Four Elements” I have set myself the goal of introducing the young musicians to different styles and forms of music history: Concerto and suite, theme with variations, minuet, modern dances, the “classical” symphony in a varied sonata form. On the other hand, the aim was to develop a colorful and pictorial musical language that stimulates the imagination of young people with the help of programmatic guidelines. The catchy melodies of the stylistic parodies were enriched in a well-dosed manner with sound effects and playing techniques of contemporary music. The piano part supports the intonation; the strings are required to play usually in the first position and in three fingerings. The keys are string-friendly. The wind section is not always obbligato. The pieces are variable in everyday school music work concerning instrumentation and texture.
