Extra Information	Alpha is a set of five variations on two themes. Somewhat different from the classic theme and variation form, in which the theme is clearly heard at the beginning of the piece and then the variations follow, the themes are quite hidden and never heard as individual entities. However, the result, musically, is like a classical theme and variation: a set of interconnected pieces in which the hidden themes provide consistency and continuity to the musical unfolding.
