The composer's manuscript folder is somewhat confused as to which pages go with which version. Based on the placement of pages within the folder and a reading of the Op.84 Violin Concerto, this seems to be the most likely final version intended for performance as a piece for violin and piano. The first 8 pages show revisions made with whiteout that were probably made at the time the piece was included in the Violin Concerto. The final three pages are considerably different than the version in the concerto.

This violin part does not include revisions made to the pages in the putative final version of the score (including revisions made with whiteout in the score but not this part). It is unclear if the “discarded pages” precede or supersede the pages in the final version, however based on their placement in the folder, they seem to be discarded. (There is added confusion, because the only copies of pp.7-8 are in the supposedly discarded pile.) The “discarded pages” match the final three pages in the piano reduction of the Violin Concerto.
