Internet archives gave his name as F. J. Bury, but on the music scores only 'Bury' was given as his name. He was the horn player at L'Opera Buffa and Chef de Musique at the regiment of the officers of Legion d'honneur.(Information given on the music scores.) - This does not show he was French, actually, just that he spent a fair amount of his life in France (French nationality by law over a fair amount of their history has required - I think?- since the Revolution? - not sure though...- birth in France or something similar, and we don't have evidence of that...)
