"It is with sincere grief that the 'Crescendo' records the death of Edward R. Day, who died of influenza and heart trouble, after an illness of only four days, at his home in Buffalo, N. Y.
Mr. Day was born near Lockport, N. Y., March 18th, 1866. ..." (
The Crescendo, Vol.11, No.8, p.8. Boston, February 1919.) His date of death is not mentioned there. He will have passed away in Jan. 1919 or in late 1918.
