Baritone opera singer in Frankfurt and Stuttgart 1840-60. He was also successful in London and Vienna. His performance of Die Fahnenwacht, Op.114 (Lindpaintner, Peter Joseph von) was widely praised. Some anecdotes about Pischek appear in Wilhelm Kuhe's autobiography, pp 33-35, 41.
