Casa do Choro (Portuguese) *"Viúva Guerreiro" means "Guerreiro's Widow" in Portuguese. The composer was known by this name professionally after her second husband's (Joaquim Augusto Guerreiro Lima) death. Her first husband, João S. de Oliveira Barreto, was a piano merchant and tuner and died in 1900.
