Member of the Austrian Nostitz dynasty.
His brother Franz Anton (1725-94) built many of the grand palaces (such as Mesice) in Bohemia, the present Czech Republic. The Ständetheater or Gräflich Nostitzsches Nationaltheater in Prague (1783, architect Haffenecker) is famous for some Mozart first performances in the 1780s.
