Viennese violinist and teacher. The young Sigmund Nissel (1922-2008), of the Amadeus Quartet (1947-87) was one of his students. He had his own quartet from 1925 to 1951. The main members were V2 O. Strasser (1925–38), Va Alfons Grünberg (1925–44), and Vc W. Kurz (1933–44)
