There are possibly two persons of this exact same name. In August Stern's Chorale preludes, Wendt is said to have lived from 1792 to 1836. Either these dates are incorrect or this E. A. Wendt is not the same person as the E. A. Wendt referenced on hymnary.org who lived from 1806 to 1850 and published several songs. A clarification would be helpful.
