Extra Information | Also arranged for solo piano by the composer in 1938, and published in 1939 by Boosey and in 1940 by Muzgiz as "Op.43bis". Material derives from an unfinished ballet Trapeze, some of which also appeared in the Quintet Op.39. According to Robinson (Selected Letters of Sergei Prokofiev, p.115, footnote 62), arrangement Op.43bis made in 1938. |
