Related Works The Introduction was based on the theme and first variation from Tchaikovsky’s student Theme with Variations for piano.
The Mazurka was later reworked as the Mazurka de salon (No.3) in the 3 Pieces, Op.9, by Pyotr Tchaikovsky.
