The handwritten catalogue (not in Dragonetti's hand) for this volume combines this with the piano accompaniment of the preceding piece, Double Bass Concerto No.4 in G major, as one piece, numbered 10. However, Dragonetti's own catalogue of the orchestral versions contained in Add MS 17726 (the catalogue itself is bound in 17826) lists them as two different pieces, numbered 4 and 5. It is therefore possible that the arranger mistook them for one piece.

Misc. Notes A newly arranged piano accompaniment, primarily based on the version for string quintet (via John Feeney's edition) but also including elements from Sechter and Mariotti's arrangements. The solo part here is based on Add MS 17726 (it would seem, just like Doblinger's "Pezzo di Concerto" edition) but the performer is welcome to consider other sources for the solo part.

Extra Information Catalogued as "No.5" (of 6) in Add MS 17826, with incipits for each movement. Published in 1974 by Doblinger as "Pezzo di Concerto" for double bass and piano, using Mariotti's piano accompaniment, although it is sometimes mistaken for being material by Sechter. They may have also published an orchestral score. This is NOT the "Concerto No.5" which Doblinger also published; for that piece, see Double Bass Concerto in G major. Movement 1 is in C major and also appears as the first movement of the String Quintet No.18 as published by Grancino Editions.
