This is a neo-classical flute sonata, consisting of 3 movements. The 1st movement is lovely and moderately fast and in sonata form. The 2nd movement is slow and singing, and sometimes a bit mysterious. The final movement is an up-tempo humourous capriccio in rondo form. The sonata is not too demanding for the pianist, and especially the final movement will be fun to play and to listen to. Digital performance using Sibelius 6 and Garritan Personal Orchestra. Score moving videos and play along videos on my YouTube-channel. Remark: the flutist may omit the (very difficult) thrill on de low C in the final movement.
