The librettist's full name is probably Leila Grey Osborne. During the early 1910s there was a Leila Osborne who was a teacher in the school district for New Haven, CT and in 1919-20 was employed in the serials department at library at Yale University. Smith was an instructor at Yale starting in 1903 and subsequently became dean of the School of Music.
