Misc. Notes
|
The sound was extracted of a score reader, thus the big amout of wrong notes (compared to score), especially with No.6, which is almost irrecognizable, but the extracted melody can give the curious reader a notion of how the first Gallantes sound

Navigation etc.
These little piano pieces are Brandes' debut into piano music. The first Gallante was composed the day after Chinese Dances FWV1 (draft) was finished. Gallantes, by Brandes, are piano pieces which usually were dedicated to a classmate, and later the form was evolved to paraphrase famous classical/modern/pop tunes, in Brandes' very own style. These pieces foresee Brandes' early style, for example, his Étude-Prelude Op.1 n°1 was based on his last Gallante, n°11
