  • This setting of Jay pris amours from Canti B bears the canonic instruction over the cantus, fit aries piscis in licanospathon, indicating cryptically it should be played from end to beginning in retrograde, transposed down a 12th. An interesting fact is the melody, if not changed according to the instruction, does actually play the tune to the popular chanson, but as written does not fit into harmony with the other pieces at all.
