  • Folkekirken.dk says "Mel.: C.E.F. Weyse 1841"; the Wikipedia page for the carol also states that the melody was by Weyse.
  • Published in 12 Trestemmige Sange (Weyse, Christoph Ernst Friedrich) (ca.1922-23), no.8 with the title "Børnenes Julesang" (Children's Christmas Song). However, this was edited by Povl Hamburger, so there is a possibility that Hamburger added the 2nd and 3rd voice, i.e. the harmony.
  • Tagged for single voice for now, also for unison chorus. However, if a 1st edition can be found, instrumentation is subject to correction.
