This organ primer consists of 3 sets of variations on the Gregorian hymns "Veni Creator", "Pange Lingua" and "Ave Maris Stella", each in 7 short movements. These three parts are followed by a 4th part with 3 double fugues and a triple fugue, based on the same hymns.
The music is progressively ordered, with the first part being the easiest and each consecutive part introducing new techniques. The pieces will offer beginners and advanced students an introduction to a modern organ style and can also serve as improvisation models. Of course the music can be used in church services as well: as preludes, interludes (versets, combined with Gregorian chant) or postludes for the feast of Pentecost, Corpus Christi and Marian feasts, respectively.
