Extra Information | 12 Melodic Etudes, op. 113, by Sebastian Lee, is less demanding in this edition than are Lee's 40 Melodic Etudes, op. 31 (arranged and expanded by Anthony Scelba for the professional double bassist). Excellent material for intermediate-advanced student bassists is preceded by original, studies. These short prefatory studies guide the student in some technical matters found in the etude immediately following. In arranging Lee’s etudes for double bass, the works are freely altered to suit them to and make them idiomatic for the double bass. |
