Most probably, like in his Petite suite, Op.50, Olsen used some earlier pieces to complete this suite. At least Nos. 1, 2, 4 and 5 were performed like independent compositions (as there are separate manuscripts).
The separate scores of Nos. 1 and 2 (see work pages) are dated 1909, which may give a terminus post quem for this suite.
