Extra Information	This work was used as a sight-reading examination piece (Morceau à déchiffrer) by the Conservatoire de Paris. The Conservatoire used this work in the following year(s): 1838, 1843, 1849, 1856, 1862, 1868.. The bass part goes to low C 2 ledger lines below the bass clef staff, so double bass is not able to play the part as written. Therefore, the most likely instruments are going to be cello or a 2nd bassoon.
