This is a neo-romantic oboe sonata. There are 3 movements: the 1st movement is a set of variations on a bass theme (in the latest revision of the 1st movement the piano part has been simplified to improve the playability and to bring it to an acceptable level in comparison with the, also not too difficult, oboe part); the 2nd movement is pastoral and is fast and in ABA form; the final movement is a fast rondo. Digital recording made in Sibelius 6 with Garritan Personal Orchestra. Score moving videos and play along videos on my YouTube-channel.
