Extra Information | Casella orchestrated the work in 1918, which appends a 5th piece, Nell' Adriatico. Around that time, he also revised the piano 4 hands version by transcribing the orchestral arrangement (published by J. & W. Chester, and possibly Ricordi, in 1922). Despite the mention of films in the subtitle, this was not composed as a film sound track. According to allmusic.com, these were inspired by film clips of WWI that Casella saw. |
