This waltz collection from Dominican composer Jose De Jesus Ravelo was composed in 1897 in honor of Josefa "Pita" De la Fuente who would later be his wife. The money collected from the sales of the 1897 edition was donated to the project of the construction of the "Independencia" Park in the city of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
