Siegismund & Volkening of Leipzig operated from 1872 into the 20th century. They were principally a publisher of educational books. At the same time, their music catalog was extensive, covering piano pieces, choral works and school song books. Many of their piano works were by Karl Urbach and A.D. Samson, and R. Palme edited many choral works, including a collection of 162 items in 1879.
