History
This firm had a short but busy life from the 1870s to 1900. Stanley Lucas & Weber operated in London from the 1870s, changing to Stanley Lucas & Co in 1893. Pitt & Hatzfeld, which was briefly an independent firm, joined in 1895. The imprints Stanley Lucas & Co and Stanley Lucas, Weber, Pitt & Hatzfeld were used concurrently until about 1900.
Stanley Lucas & Weber had the distinction of publishing an early edition of Chopin's Polish Songs in 1874.
