This work was completed on 9 May 2018. The last movement is based on a little song which I tried to write as early as 1975. The lyrics were by a former friend of mine and comprised a little story about a Castle Ghost like the famous Canterville Ghost. My former friend was discontent with my melody, and thus it was never used as a song. Now I decided to use it as the last movement in this quartet. Therefore the title "Das einsame Schlossgespenst", which means The lonesome Castle Ghost. The movements are: I Fuga - Allegro moderato II Andante comodo (Violoncello tacet) III Scherzando IV Andante V Das einsame Schlossgespenst.
