Date 1889 seems attested to by review of publication in a 7 Dec 1889 journal. OTOH the plate and Woolhouse table if accurate suggest a later date. Maybe this is a 2nd edition... Another publication by him mentions a "Quintett in A minor for 2 violins, clarinet, viola (or 2 violas), cello and ad lib contrabass" which is clearly this work, but the clarinet version of the viola part remains to be rediscovered.
