A publication in 1866 by Richault of a trio by Blanc is identified as "3e trio pour violon et violon-celle." Publication noted in the Bibliographie de la France (2d Series, Vol.10, No.17, 28 April 1866, p.194, reg. no.895). This was published at the same time as the Piano Quartet No.4, Op.49. The plate number of 8355 suggests a publication date of around 1848 but Richault's plate 8281 was assigned to a score published in 1865 (with the national library's contemporary stamped date on it). Furthermore, the address for Richault on the cover page of the above parts is 4 Boulevard des Italiens. Richault did not move to that address until 1862. One supposes that it could be an 1866 reprint of the 1848 original but the opus would seem to suggest the latter date as the first edition.
