The Piano Reduction looks an awful lot like the Malkin ed. (I can't compare the too, but I saw the fingerings are the same in many places in the cello part). Malkin died in 1969, but it's published in 1917 (doesn't help us in canada). Could someone verify? If it is, we have to get rid of it.-- Snailey (_@/) Talk to Me Email me 02:49, 20 April 2010 (UTC)
I got a publisher citation: New York: Carl Fischer, No. 827, 1917. Plate 20377-32-- Snailey (_@/) Talk to Me Email me 03:01, 20 April 2010 (UTC)
OK, I wondered if it could have been Fischer, so it is. CDSM does this stretching fairly often - I have no idea of why. I'll look around and see if I can find a scan of the original Durand and replace the file if I do. Carolus 03:06, 20 April 2010 (UTC)
Well, I looked and looked, but nothing was found - even trolling about the dark realm of Russian sites (which are often filled with trojans and viruses). I think we'll have to delete it. It's not the greatest scan - but it's annoying not to have a piano reduction of this fairly important cello concerto. Carolus 22:47, 22 April 2010 (UTC)
