A Feb.24 1855 Philadelphia newspaper notice (review of a concert of the Harmonia Sacred Music Society) quoted in a lengthy 1902 (p306) biography/obituary mentions a grand Te Deum by Newland which had been composed some years before, premiered but never really given an adequate performance until then (1855); perhaps this one.
