Misc. Notes The title page says "Set to Music by James Hook / Adapted for Two Violins, Voice & Harpsichord". Grove Music lists the instrumentation as 1 voice, 2 violins, and harpsichord. Also, there are no early WorldCat entries that give any other instrumentation, so it looks like "adapted" is not used in the sense of an arrangement, but rather that the text was adapted? This is probably the original instrumentation.
