Navigation etc.
This is the earliest composition found in the composer's archives, with 2 dates : Zürich, 3-I-23, and London, 23-I-23. The composer was not quite 20. It may have been copied from his manuscript upon music paper obtained in London, since it bears a dry HDMP seal (Herman Darewski Music Publishing Co., 122 124 Charing Cross Road, London, W.C.2). The dedicatee appears to be one A.G.H.Ward, who may have hosted the composer in London or who had some other function. The lyrics which are not attributed may be traditional.
