Extra Information | Consists of 2 pieces: Transformations, and at the end, Fanfare. The fanfare can be performed as separate work. |
This piece was composed for the dedication of the 1992 reconstruction of the Rolvaag Memorial Library at St. Olaf College, Northfield MN, USA. The version here is the entire piece. The last section (fanfare) can be performed separately. The piece is of moderate difficulty and can be performed by a college or university band, and, indeed, a reasonable community band. It is written in a traditional and accessible style. There are 2 versions of the score: one in C; the other is the "transposing" score. For parts, please contact me.
