graduated at the Utrecht Conservatory. He started his career in the field of electronic music, first as studio assistent, later as studio coordinator. An electronic studio, housed at a conservatory, was designed and engineered. He teached music theory at two conservatories and at the Institute of Musicology (Utrecht University). Next he teached and researched in the computer and information science field, was CEO of a center of expertise, and achieved a Ph.D. in computer science. Finally, he worked as senior assisted professor in the section information science at the Institute of Information & Computing Sciences (Utrecht University). Currently, his interest is in making arrangements and orchestrations of music in various styles and for various occasions.
