Jason Fruit is an amateur composer of hymn tunes and anthems in the style of Colonial American psalmody and 19th-century rural hymnody. He also arranges and composes instrumental music, especially for the viola, on which he was once a performer. He lives in Wisconsin with his wife and children and their goats, chickens, rabbits, dog, and ornery macaw.
