Ernst Schache possibly not the name of the violinist or pianist who premiered the work- at least, no such person is turning up? Maybe a fellow physician (that being Borkhman's day job)?

(The worklist- insofar as accurate- gives 1914 for a first violin sonata and 1928 for a 2nd. It's possible that this Op.8 is his 2nd sonata, and that 1914 is the date his 1st sonata was published, not composed; or... hrm. ...)
