Extra Information Included in the category Easy Works for Violin. The violin is mainly 1st to 3rd position, but some parts can be played entirely in first position. For ex Soldiers' March from Faust (B to C) and Anvil Chorus from Trovatore (from A). In fact all of Tannhauser can be played in 1st position except the last two measures. Especially Carmen gives excellent practice in 1st to 3rd positions with lively Spanish rhythms. Unfamiliar tunes will test your rhythm reading ability.
